Dr. N.D. Jayakumar completed his BDS from the prestigious Madras Dental College in 1985 and went on to graduate as a Gold Medalist in MDS Periodontics in 1989 from his alma mater. He is currently the Dean of Saveetha Dental College and Head of the Department of Periodontics. He has over 35 publications in various PubMed and Scopus-indexed journals. He has delivered guest lectures at numerous national and international fora. His research interests include the fields of periodontal immunology and genetics. Dr. Jayakumar is a Ph.D guide, currently guiding two Ph.D scholars.

Dr. Sheeja S. Varghese is a Professor and Head of Academics in the Department of Periodontics. She completed both her BDS in 1991 and MDS in 1994 from Government Dental College, Trivandrum. She has  served the institution for over 20 years and is also the Associate Dean of Academics. She has over 50 Publications to her credit and is also a PhD guide. She has two PhD scholars under her tutelage. She has also delivered numerous guest lectures and also served as a undergraduate and postgraduate examiner for many years. Her areas of interest include Immunology and Genetics in Periodontics. She is a dedicated faculty and has won the punctuality and workaholic award at Saveetha Dental College on numerous occasions.

Dr.Sankari is a Professor in the Department of Periodontics. She completed her BDS in 1995 in Saveetha dental college and MDS in 2002 fromTamil Nadu Govt.Dental College . She has over 13 years of experience in training undergraduates and postgraduates alike. Her areas of interest include, Periodontal Medicine, Periodontal regeneration with PRF and Stem cell therapy and she has over 47 publicationsin various national and international journals to her credit. Sheis currently pursuing her PhD in our university in the field of Melatonin and Periodontal disease.

Dr.G.Kaarthikeyan is a Professor in the Department of Periodontics. He completed his BDS in 2001 at Tamil Nadu Govt.Dental College and MDS in 2007 from Saveetha Dental College. He has over 12 years of experience in training undergraduates and postgraduates alike. His areas of interest include genetics, implantology and regenerative surgery with over 30 publications to his credit. He has presented numerous guest lectures in national and international forums. He is currently pursuing his PhD in our university in the field of genetic polymorphisms in periodontitis affected patients in a South Indian population.

Dr.R.Jaiganesh is working as a Professor in the Department of Periodontics, Saveetha Dental College. He had completed his B.D.S in Ragas Dental College in 2003 and M.D.S in Saveetha Dental College in 2007. He has authored a textbook for undergraduate students named “Textbook of Periodontics” with Emmess Publishers. He has attended 8 International and 13 National Conferences and presented scientific papers and posters. He has got 47 publications to his credit, out of which 22 are scopus indexed, 4 are pubmed indexed and 21 are other indexed. He has attended 30 CDE programmes, 10 workshops and organized 15 CDE programmes. He is a life member of Indian Society of Periodontology and Scientific Review Board member of saveetha dental college. His field of interests are Periodontal Regeneration, Periodontal Microbiology and Natural Medicine.

Dr.Radhika is a Reader in the Department of Periodontics. She completed her BDS in 2008 from Saveetha Dental College and MDS in 2011 from Thai Moogambigai dental college. She has also completed her Diploma in Laser dentistry from the Indian Academy of Laser Dentistry (Mumbai) in April 2013. She has 7 years of experience teaching undergraduates and postgraduates alike. She was also nominated for the " Famdent academician of the year award" in 2016. Her areas of interest include Periodontal plastic surgery and Laser dentistry and she has 30 publications to her credit.

He graduated from Saveetha Dental College and did his post graduation in periodontics from JKK Nattaraja Dental College, Erode, Tamilnadu. He is a life member in INDIAN SOCIETY OF PERIODONTOLOGY and has few publications and guest lectures to his credit. He has attended various speciality conferences and presented papers/posters. He has been awarded "Best clinical teacher in Periodontics" consecutively in annual review meetings at Saveetha Dental College.

Dr.Reema Lakshmanan completed her BDS from Sri Ramachandra Medical College, Chennai and went on to pursue her post graduation from Saveetha Dental College, Chennai. She has been working as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Periodontics, Saveetha Dental College for the last five years and is a passionate teacher and ardent researcher. She has 12 publications, including those that have been published with the prestigious Journal of Periodontology. Her research thrust areas include diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers as well as Periomedicine . She wishes to use her research and her experience for providing novel treatment for the patients.

Completed bachelor in dentistry from Meenakshi Ammal dental college, Chennai in 2010. Completed masters in periodontology from SRM dental college Ramapuram in the year 2014. Keen interest in the field of regenerative periodontics for management of intra bony defects and also in soft tissue grafting techniques in peri implant esthetics management.  Currently has three publications in pubmed indexed national journals. She is also a member of Indian dental asociation and life member of Indian society of Oral Implantologist. 

Dr. Nashra Kareem (Senior Lecturer) completed her BDS in 2014 & MDS (Periodontics) in the year 2018 at Meenakshi Ammal Dental College & Hospital, Chennai. She has presented several scientific papers at National & International conferences and was awarded with the Best Scientific Paper in the year 2016 and 2017. Her passion for research has been the driving force for her publications in various reputed PubMed & Scopus indexed journals. She also has a keen interest in Implant Dentistry, LASERs and Microsurgery. Being an enthusiast, she has actively participated in organizing various National & International conferences and has been a part of several educational programmes.

Dr. Arvina is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Periodontics. She graduated her BDS in CSI College of Dental Science and Research Institute and completed her Masters in Periodontics from Indira Gandhi Institute of Dental Sciences. She was awarded Gold Medal for her academic excellence in postgraduation. She has attended various speciality conferences and presented papers/posters and has few publications to her credit. Her field of interests include Oral Microbiome and Genetics.

Dr. M. Jeevitha is a senior lecturer in the Department of Periodontics. She completed her BDS from Sri Ramakrishna Dental College and Hospital, Coimbatore in 2013 and MDS from Best Dental Science College and Hospital, Madurai in 2017. She has presented scientific papers in national and international conferences and has few publications to her credit. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Hindi literature. Her areas of interest include Immunology, Periodontal medicine and Periodontal plastic surgery.
