Dr. N.D. Jayakumar., MDS, MBA
PROFESSOR & DEAN OF FACULTY
Thrust Areas: Genetics & Periodontal Immunology
Dr. N.D. Jayakumar completed his BDS from the prestigious Madras Dental College in 1985 and went on to graduate as a Gold Medalist in MDS Periodontics in 1989 from his alma mater. He is currently the Dean of Faculty, Saveetha Dental College. He is a passionate teacher and has over 30 years of teaching experience in training under-graduate and post-graduate students. He has over 35 publications in various PubMed and Scopus-indexed journals. He has lectured widely in national and international fora. Dr. Jayakumar is a Ph.D guide, currently guiding two Ph.D scholars.

Dr. Sheeja S. Varghese., MDS
PROFESSOR & REGISTRAR , SIMATS
Thrust Areas: Immunology, Genetics, Molecular Biology & Regenerative Periodontics
Dr. Sheeja S. Varghese is currently a Professor in the Department of Periodontics and the Registrar of Saveetha Institute of Medical And Technical Sciences (SIMATS) University. She completed both her BDS in 1991 and MDS in 1994 from Government Dental College, Trivandrum. She has served the institution for over 25 years. She has over 80 Publications to her credit and is also a PhD guide. She has 8 PhD scholars under her tutelage. She has also delivered numerous guest lectures and also served as a undergraduate and postgraduate examiner for many universities. She is a dedicated faculty and has won the punctuality and workaholic award at Saveetha Dental College on numerous occasions.

Dr. R. Sankari., MDS, PhD
PROFESSOR & ASSOCIATE DEAN OF CLINICS, HOD(ADMINISTRATION)
Thrust Areas: Periodontal Medicine, Periodontal regeneration with PRF & Stem cell therapy
Dr. Sankari is a Professor in the Department of Periodontics. She completed her BDS in 1995 in Saveetha dental college and MDS in 2002 from Tamil Nadu Govt.Dental College. She has over 17 years of experience in training undergraduates and postgraduates alike. She has over 70 publications in various national and international journals to her credit. She has completed her PhD in our university in the field of Melatonin and Periodontal disease. Her areas of interest include stem cells in periodontal regeneration, Platelet concentrates and melatonin in periodontal therapy.

Dr. G. Kaarthikeyan., MDS, PhD
PROFESSOR & HOD (CLINICALS)
Thrust Areas: Genetics, Implantology & Regenerative surgery
Dr. Kaarthikeyan is currently a Professor and Head of the Periodontics Department (Academics). He completed his BDS in 2001 at Tamil Nadu Govt. Dental College & MDS in 2007 from Saveetha Dental College. He has over 16 years of experience in training undergraduates and postgraduates alike. He has 60 publications in various international and national journals. He is currently guiding 6 PhD scholars . He has contributed 2 chapters in Elseiver publications on Interleukin 17 in periodontal diseases. He has delivered 25 guest lectures in various national and international conferences.

Dr. R. Jaiganesh., MDS, PhD

Dr.R.Jaiganesh is presently working as a Professor and Administrative Head of the Periodontics Department, Saveetha Dental College. He had completed his BDS in Ragas Dental College in 2003 and MDS in Saveetha Dental College in 2007. He has authored a Textbook for undergraduate students named "Textbook of Periodontics" with EMMESS publishers.

Dr.M.Thamaraiselvan., MDS, PhD
PROFESSOR
Thrust Areas: Periodontal microsurgery, Platelet rich fibrin, Periodontal/ Peri-implant soft & hard tissue augmentation
Dr. M. Thamaraiselvan has authored a chapter in “Essential Periodontics” textbook published by Wiley. He is a life member of the Indian Society of Periodontology and has many publications and guest lectures to his credit. He is also the mentor for workshop on “Periodontal Microsurgery” conducted every year and has been awarded "Best clinical teacher in Periodontics” consecutively in annual review meetings at Saveetha Dental College. He has graduated from Saveetha Dental College and did his post graduation in Periodontics from JKK Nattaraja Dental College, Tamilnadu and has attended various speciality conferences and presented papers/posters.

Dr. Pradeep Kumar Yadalam., MDS

Dr. Y. Pradeep Kumar is a research professor in the Department of Periodontics, Saveetha Dental College. He completed his BDS in 2002 from Sri Ramachandra Dental College and MDS in 2007 from Tamil Nadu Government Dental college . He has numerous high impact factor publications in various journals. He has received 40 lakh ITI grant in RNA transcriptomics.

Dr. Arvina is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Periodontics. She graduated her BDS in CSI College of Dental Science and Research Institute and completed her Masters in Periodontics from Indira Gandhi Institute of Dental Sciences. She was awarded Gold Medal for her academic excellence in postgraduation. She has attended various speciality conferences and presented papers/posters and has over 70 publications to her credit.

Dr. M. Jeevitha is a senior lecturer in the Department of Periodontics. She completed her BDS from Sri Ramakrishna Dental College and Hospital, Coimbatore in 2013 and MDS from Best Dental Science College and Hospital, Madurai in 2017. She has presented scientific papers and has delivered guest lectures on Applications of Nanoparticles in Periodontal therapy in various national and international conferences. She has more than 50 indexed publications to her credit. She has authored two book chapters on green synthesis and applications of nanoparticles with ELSEVIER Publishers. She also holds Bachelor of Arts degree in Hindi literature.

Dr. Balaji Ganesh.S., MDS

Dr. Balaji Ganesh.S is a senior lecturer in the Department of Periodontics. He completed his undergraduation from Best Dental Science College, Madurai in 2015 and postgraduation in Periodontology from Meenakshi Ammal Dental College, Chennai in 2019. He has actively participated in various national conferences and CDE programmes and has presented multiple posters and papers for which he has won 6 awards. He has few publications to his credit. His case report on a modified novel laser lip repositioning with suture containment technique is published in the highly prestigious American Academy of Periodontology Journal - Clinical Advances in Periodontics.

Dr. Karthickraj S.M. is a senior lecturer in the Department of Periodontics. He graduated his Bachelor's degree from the eminent Tamil Nadu Government Dental College and master's from the age old prestigious Banaras Hindu University. He has also received the BHU Gold medal and Sri Purushottam Lal Dhanuka award during his post graduation days for his academic excellence. Dr. Parkavi. A, is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Periodontics. She completed her undergraduation from the renowned SRM Kattankulathur Dental College and Hospital, Chennai and pursued her Masters in Periodontology from the prestigious Nair Hospital Dental College, Mumbai. Following her postgraduation, she worked as an Assistant Professor for one year at her alma mater. She is a life member of the Indian Society of Periodontology and has presented scientific papers at various National conferences. She also has few publications to her credit.

Dr. Anju Cecil., MDS,FICOI

Dr. Anju Cecil is a senior lecturer in the Department of Periodontics. She has completed her under graduation from Bangalore Institute of Dental Sciences, Bangalore in 2015 and postgraduation in Periodontology from Rajarajeswari Dental College, Bangalore in 2019. She has done her senior residency at the prestigious King George Medical University, Lucknow. She has an international fellowship in Implantology from the Branemark Institute, Sweden, and also an international fellowship in aesthetic dentistry. She has completed associate fellowship in Lasers from World clinical laser institute (WCLI ). She is a national-level guest speaker and course coordinator for various perio aesthetic courses. She also has various national and international publications to her credit.

Dr. Nidhita Suresh completed her BDS from Ragas dental college and went on to pursue her masters in Periodontics from Sri Ramachandra dental college. She was also awarded Dr Mrs Stella Sathyaraj gold medal for her academic excellence in post graduation. She has also completed her fellowship in implant dentistry from Dubai affiliated with university of Toronto. She has actively participated and presented posters /papers at national conferences.
Dr Raghavendra Vamsi

Dr. Anegundi Raghavendra Vamsi completed his Post-graduation from AB Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences, Mangalore, in 2022. He has actively participated in various national conferences and CDE programs and has presented multiple posters and papers for which he has won 8 awards. SENIOR LECTURER
Thrust Areas: Periodontal plastic surgery, Laser aesthetic surgical procedures.
Dr.S.Subasree completed both her undergraduate and postgraduate degree from Saveetha Dental college, Chennai. She is currently working as Senior Lecturer in the department of Periodontics, and has been associated with the institute for a decade now. She has completed her Associate fellowship from World Clinical Laser Institute (WCLI).Her areas of interest include “Soft tissue - esthetics, Soft and hard tissue augmentation”. She is an associate member of INDIAN SOCIETY OF PERIODONTOLOGY (ISP). She has over 30 publications in various indexed journals on her research work. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Hindi literature.

Dr. A. Paramasivam, earned his doctoral degree in Molecular Biology - Genetics from the University of Madras. He received the fellowship from the National Centre for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (NCNSNT),MHRD, India during his tenure as a research scholar. His area of expertise includes human molecular genetics, cancer biology, mitochondrial dysfunction and diseases.

Dr. K. Saranya is a B.Tech graduate in biotechnology from Bharathidasan Institute of Technology and M.Tech in Nanotechnology from PSG college of Technology. She pursued her Ph.D in Biomaterials from Anna university . She received Women scientist -A grant from department of science and technology, New Delhi. She has also worked as a Research Fellow in a CSIR project. She has published articles in highly reputed journals including Journal of Magnesium and Alloy and also authored a book chapter for CRC press. She has received many best paper awards in International conferences including CORCON-19.

DR. J. RAMANA RAMYA., Ph D
RESEARCH SCIENTIST / ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR
Thrust Areas : Biomimetic mineralization, Biomaterials, Tissue Engineering, Gamma Irradiation, Nano-magnetic materials.
Dr. J. Ramana Ramya, received her Doctoral degree in Biomaterials from Crystal Growth Centre, Anna University. She had worked as a Research fellow in the project funded by Inter University Accelerator Centre (IUAC) Delhi, India. She has in-depth knowledge on the bioceramics and polymer composites for various biomedical applications. She awarded Dr. D. S. Kothari Post-Doctoral fellowship (DSKPDF) granted by University Grants Commission (UGC) and served as a principal investigator in the project related to Hyperthermia applications. She has travelled New Taipei City, Taiwan and visited National Synchrotron Radiation Research Centre (NSRRC) for her experiments. In her credits, she published many papers in International peered Journals including in reputed journals like Composites Part B: Engineering and Scientific Reports – Nature.

Dr. N Thirumalaivasan, MPhil, PhD
RESEARCH SCIENTIST / ASSISTANT PROFESSOR
Thrust Areas : Tumor-targeted drug delivery applications, Chemosensors, Cell biology, Nanomaterials preparation, Protein structure analysis using Raman spectroscopic techniques, and Bio-Imaging studies.
He earned his Master of Science and Master of Philosophy in chemistry from Madurai Kamaraj university in 2014, Doctor of Philosophy (2015-2019), and two years of Post-Doctoral research (2019-2021) in the Department of Applied Chemistry, National Chiao Tung University, Hsinchu, Taiwan. Throughout his research, he has published 25 research articles. His strong research experience includes Chemosensor, Multi-step organic compound synthesis, Nanomaterials preparation, Cell biology, Anti-tumor testing in mice, Live imaging of zebrafish, Protein structure analysis using Raman spectroscopic techniques, and Bio-imaging studies.

Dr. Saheb Ali

Rangasamy College of Arts and Science, Affliated to Periyar University, Tiruchengode in 2022 and also completed post graduate diploma in Bioinformatics. He has actively participated and presented various research work in National and Inter National Conferences. He worked as an Visiting faculty in department of Biotechnology in AMET University.
